Candida Cleanse Diet
Doesnt a Candida cleanse diet sound strange? But honestly this really is one of the most effective ways of removing the fungus from your system.
The diet for Candida is a three stage course designed to do two things;
- Kill off the Candida fungus – foods containing sugar, mold,refined carbo are Candidas’ best friends. The best method to kill the fungus is to stop feeding it.
- Eradicate allergens/sensitivities. Food sensitivities and allergies increase the workload of our immune system and can overwhelm it, giving Candida the perfect invitation to take control within us. Most of us will have no idea about what we are sensitive to, so stage one of this diet for Candida is especially effective at identifying our bad foods.
How easy is the Candida Cleanse Diet?
Truthfully the hardest part at the begining of the Candida diet is sorting out what you can and cant eat.
Salads and stir fries are quick and simple to prepare. I find its actually less time consuming than my usual meals.
How much will the Candida Cleanse Diet cost?
The cost of the diet is almost completely dictated by your ability to get fresh vegetables – lettuce doesnt freeze darn it! It is also worthwhile to note that if your grocery bill is made up of processed or prepackaged foods, flour or ‘treats’, then there is a good chance that you may be able to save money.
Stage 1 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
If you do nothing more than stage one of the Candida Cleanse Diet then you must do stage one. This is the stage that we start to simultaneously starve the fungus and help the immune system to respond to the attack.
A really quick summary of stage one is that we are taking out food containing;
- sugar (including fruit, fruit juice and artificial sweeteners)
- carbohydrates (simple or otherwise),
- starch,
- yeast,
- mold,
- gluten,
- wheat or
- dairy
- Fermented foods like soy sauce, vinegar and alcohol are also out.
While some programs say that wholegrains, low sugar fruits, small servings of cottage cheese or natural yogurt are fine in stage one, others say absolutely not! So the best way to handle this is to do what you feel is best. If you are unsure, then do not eat it, but if you can not stand the thought of lettuce without cottage cheese then pop a small blob on top of your salad!
Stage 2 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
This is where we get to slowly add foods back into our diet. Add new foods really slowly – one serving a day to start with. This will allow your digestive system time to fully digest the new food and you time to note any reation to it.
It is so important to note whether you have any reaction at all to the food that you introduce, as this will tell you which foods you are sensitive to. A reaction can be a subtle as a foggy feeling or as overt as a full blown recurrance of all symptoms..
Stage 3 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
Stage 3 is basically when you have reintroduced most of your normal foods without incidence.
Now a word of warning here – while the Candida Cleanse Diet is a fantastic way to kick start your campaign against Candida it is only the first step in completely curing your yeast infection.To heal from the damage done by the fungus and regain full health you need to add a regime of antifungal and nutritional supplements. These will help to heal tissue damage and help the liver and kidneys flush out the toxins left by the Candida
To do this you need a 5 step program like the one developed by Linda Allen – to find out more head to Yeast infection No More
